Recently, the University has been putting together a virtual open day tour for the web (for VR and web).  In order to do this, we took a few 360 pictures of our resources.

Here’s our dedicated Live Event Teaching Space – this is an example setup with a small example of the equipment we own and use in our teaching (click the image, and then click the image on the new page to view the immersive 360 image!)  This room is a blank canvas that the students use to explore and investigate sound, lighting, rigging, working at height etc..

Below is our 40 speaker 3D Surround Sound Research Lab which we use to explore and experiment with different types of 3D and surround audio systems running, amongst other things, our home grown WigWare Ambisonic software to decode 3D audio to speakers in the array.  All our labs run Dante audio over IP and so can send or receive to any room in the University, as needed.
